On the third sunday of January of every year Cebuanos celebrate the fiest of the Holy Child Jesus - Senor Sto. Nino - . This year it falls on the 21st of this month. And within the entire week a whole bunch of fiestivities are lined up for everyone to enjoy! Not only do local Cebuanos we see dancing their hearts out during this day but a wholel lot of Balikbayans (filipinos who have worked and lived abroad) also fill the streets and malls and everywhere just to be with their beloved Patron Saint Senor Sto, Nino. (If you lick the picture here, you would see more surprises, specially the first one above !) CAn you spot that small bi-plane?

Oh, by the way, there was an announcement last year by the catholic clergy that this Holy child isn’t supposedly venerated as a saint, their reasons were not as clear, however. But due to the current understanding and love of the the locals here in Cebu and the rest of his supporters, still a fiest is held annually in his honor. Isn’t that interestingly fantastic?

In view of all these my family joined in and engulfed ourselves with the sights and sounds of the Sinulog celebration 2007! Here are some of the snapshots and actions on the move!

More smiles and laughter during this very blessed day. There were little children dancing ang swaying to upbeat rhythm of the drums while shouting “Pit Senor” every end of the the drumbeat. We had fun alright and then, we get to eat a freshly cooked “Bud-bud” together with bam-i (chinese noodles) and sipped hot choco (tabliya drink)! My, oh MY What a marvelous morning we had!
