Someone That I Used to Love (by Natalie Cole)

Saturday, January 27th, 2007

Rose_immaculateWhen I wake up each morning…Trying to find myself, And if I’m ever the least unsure…I always remind myself. Though you’re someone in this world that I’ll always choose to love, From now on you’re only Someone that I used to love.

As for me, it’s getting down To the last unspoken part… When you must begin to ease The pain of a broken heart. Tell me why should I even care If I have to lose your love? From now on you’re only Someone that I used to love.

Wish it was enough for you; All the love I had to give… I did my best to keep you satisfied. I guess you’ll never know How much I tried, I really tried.

And if ever our paths should cross again, Well you won’t find me Being the one to get lost again… Once I had so much to give But you just refused my love… From now on you’re only Someone that I used to love.

I did my best to keep you satisfied. I guess you’ll never know How much I tried, I really tried. Though you’re someone in this world…That I’ll always choose to love, From now on you’re only Someone that I used to love.

A special day!

Rose_1 “A rose by any name would smell as sweet”… kind of familiar?. Sure, and it’s one of my favorites. I got a huge boquet of crimson -red mixed with immculate -white american roses on my special day-(Birthday) from my beloved last Monday. And not only that, it came with a sumptous chocolate moccha mousse cake, topped with frozen rich chocolate sticks, and best of all: ribbon-shaped chocolate on top! Mmm, yummmmy! And then, as if it wasn’t enough, they (my loved ones) specially requested our lady friend who owned a restaurant near Marco Polo to open up (coz they are closed on Mondays) for my special dinner! Imagine…what a surprise that was for me! Thanks mga pinnangga. you surely made my day. Oh, by the way, our priest-friend called up and greeted me with a birthday song from his cellphone. What more could i ask for?

Sunset…

Sunset Sunset, trully is special to me. I’m not sure why, but one thing is certain though- it makes me float in the air- seeing its golden rays slowly disappear , as if bowing down from us, from me… Oh, how i love gazing at it … while we (not the Sun, mind you) slide up along our own axis away from it! A friend once told me he liked sunsets too. He sent me a copy of a poem which he created while watching the sun sat across the horizon. Cool ! This is taken from atop the first bridge while we drove passed it. I kept positioning my cellphone camera a couple of times coz it was quite a fast drive back home from Mandaue. On the third sunday of January of every year Cebuanos celebrate the fiest of the Holy Child Jesus - Senor Sto. Nino - . This year it falls on the 21st of this month. And within the entire week a whole bunch of fiestivities are lined up for everyone to enjoy! Not only do local Cebuanos we see dancing their hearts out during this day but a wholel lot of Balikbayans (filipinos who have worked and lived abroad) also fill the streets and malls and everywhere just to be with their beloved Patron Saint Senor Sto, Nino. (If you lick the picture here, you would see more surprises, specially the first one above !) CAn you spot that small bi-plane?

Oh, by the way, there was an announcement last year by the catholic clergy that this Holy child isn’t supposedly venerated as a saint, their reasons were not as clear, however. But due to the current understanding and love of the the locals here in Cebu and the rest of his supporters, still a fiest is held annually in his honor. Isn’t that interestingly fantastic?

In view of all these my family joined in and engulfed ourselves with the sights and sounds of the Sinulog celebration 2007! Here are some of the snapshots and actions on the move!

More smiles and laughter during this very blessed day. There were little children dancing ang swaying to upbeat rhythm of the drums while shouting “Pit Senor” every end of the the drumbeat. We had fun alright and then, we get to eat a freshly cooked “Bud-bud” together with bam-i (chinese noodles) and sipped hot choco (tabliya drink)! My, oh MY What a marvelous morning we had!

For the past year or so i have created and recreated a number of blogs within the world wide web and it has been so rewarding, not to mention fullfiling for me as an individual. This year i’ve decided to change, well not exactly, but perhaps modify the header in one of my personal blogs which is entitled: Sweet moments with Ms. B, thus this design is imprinted there now.

Are you ready?

Be prepared to let your emotions out more often.

When you feel sad… cry

when you are angry… let anger show

when you feel happy… SMILE!
