Age issue

(My brother-in-law gave this to me a few years back. Thanks Robbie.)

——————————————————————————————-

Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we’re kids

If you’re less than 10 years old, you’re so excited about aging that you think in fractions

How old are you?" "I’m four and a half!" You’re never thirty-six and a half. You’re four and a half, going on five.

That’s the keyYou get into your teens, now they can’t hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead

"How old are you?" "I’m gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you’re gonna be 16!

And then the greatest day of your life . . . you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21 YESSSS !!!

But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there? Makes you sound like bad milk. He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There’s no fun now, you’re Just a sour-dumpling

What’s wrong? What’s changed? You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you’re PUSHING 40.Whoa! Put on the brakes, it’s all slipping away. Before you know it, you REACH 50 . . and your dreams are gone

But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn’t think you would!

So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.You’ve built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it’s a day-by-day thing;you HIT Wednesday!

You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle;

you HIT lunch; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn’t end there.Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I’m 100 and a half!"May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!

Wishing too much

"Sometimes we wish we were small
wish we were somewhere
wish we had something
but sometimes
we wish too much
that we miss to enjoy
who we are
where we are
what we have."

What is it?

… when i get to do crazy things

… when i tend to befall under your spell

… when i continue to love you though it hurts

… when i cry today but it doesn’t matter the next day

… when i smile seeing your face

… when i hate you so much but wants more of you!

… when i care for you, endlessly

… when i miss you every moment

… when hearing your voice feels like heaven!

… when everything about you simply mesmerizes the inner me

How’d you call that?

“Babaye”

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

A poem written and recited by Isidro "Eddie" Albor, of Barangay Langub, Argao, Cebu, Philippines. He was actually facing near me when he uttered the words very carefully. My! what a day that was! Thanks!

                                      "Dawata  ning akong gugma

nga maoy timaan sa akong pagmahal

pag-amping ug pag-yukbo

sa imong kadungganan.

Aron matu-od nga adunay gipakatawo ni Bathala

Ning silong sa langit.

*

Aron sa pagdim-dim

Sa nagkalain-lain bulak

Nga nagsawilik sa mainit nga luha

Initos sama pangis nga kagulanan.

*

Babaye, gihigugma ko ikaw

nianang gugma nga matapos lamang

kon kita patimpasaw sa ngilit sa kamatayon.

*

Wala ako mahadlok nga ton-an mu ako

Kon unsaon ko ikaw sa paghigugma

nga kanang imong caloutan

Nga labaw sa imong ka-anyag

Nga tudlo kanako nining tanan."

A new day!

Friday, October 6th, 2006

BetnflowersA friend once wrote "Each new day is a new opportunity to renew our life and to redirect its course if we need to. Each sunrise brings fresh rays for the leaves, fresh leaves for the worms, fresh worms for the birds, fresh birds for the sky, and fresh sky for all of us to appreciate."

Indeed! He is simply correct. Take note I underlined the phrase:" if we need to". I agree with him in saying: Of course! In each our own existence there would surely come a time when we feel we do not belong anymore; does not connect with reality any longer; cannot comprehend with what’s going on… etc, etc.

So, for us to be in commune with the rest of the world, we might as well wake up and realize that there is a great new world out there to cherish; blue skies to see; golden sunrise to view; greener grass to smell; leafy trees to touch; cooler breeze to feel. Surely each renewed day brings forth new laughter, new hope, new friendship…even a renewed promise.

Thanks dear friend, you are a gem!

LOVE & Time

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

Betshore5TRUE! Being in-love means never having to look @ the clock and worry about anything. In fact, what greater glory there is in time, with LOVE!

And the ticking of the seconds in every minute of every hour does not in any way infringe the desire so pure you’d think you are in another dimention; nor does it break the moments of entanglement, which engulfs each loved heart. Don’t you think so too…?
