Sunrise / Sunset

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

Sunset and sunrise elates my innermost soul - if i may say it this way- and alllows myself to be mezmerized by its magnificent sprectrum of hues thus releasing any hidden and unforgiving tantrums and emotions. With each sunset that goes by, it reminds me of a special friend who loves it equally. SunsetdarkSunset_redSunset1Sunsetbridge2  BridgeSunset2Special Edition Photos (personal)

Sunset in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, SPAIN (Europe)

Canariasunsetedited Sunset never cease to amaze me wherever it may be. This one here was experienced in a far away land particularly Spain, when i visited my only sister - Ellen and her only daughter - Melisa. We had so much fun than we ever had here before! And the sun kept us company all the way, from sunrise to sundown until it sat across the two-mile stretch  of fine sandy beach of  La Playa in the beautiful coast of Mas Palomas, Gran Canaria in Canary Islands- a 7-island-group of mainland Spain, located across Africa, facing the huge Atlantic Ocean.See map

Sunrise in Tangub City, Ozamis (Mindanao)

Tanbugsunrisebest A great star, a super Nova, with fierce heat and violent eruptions, the core of our planetary system… That’s the SUN! El Sol in Spanish. It rises on early morninsg and sets on afternoons. It has great powers in terms of heat emmissions and gaseous eruptions in space.

Sunrise in Oslob, Cebu (Visayas)

Oslob_sunrise One thing amazes me most! The moment it sets in after a long day’s exposure, bringing in light for the leaves to reproduce, spreading its golden rays for the people to cherish each morning and illuminating the entire universe (at least our universe) for ease of mobilization through natural lighting.

Sunrise in Baguio City , Benguet Prov. (Luzon)

Baguio_sunrise1 I was up in this city three times already but my heart still leaps with excitement! On my other blog "Sweet moments"i have done a few whispers about Baguio and its magnificent sunrise! Here goes "…On the first morning, i woke up quite early and was awed by the view! I think we (sun and me) got up @ the same time! So i took my digicam and click it went… one after another."

Strange but true (a true story-part 2)

Heart_5252_1 LOVE… The most cherished word!  But how could she knew what love was? How could she know what it was that she felt, when it was the very first time she felt that? The night grew deeper, and the air blew colder. They were still together, entwined with each other’s arms, their lips searching, trying to catch their breaths. Soon, they were one. Their bodies stuck so close not a molecule could seep through.

It was real love. Pure, unblemished affection, intense emotion felt so strongly as if nothing could break them apart. It was so momentous, so unique, a bizarre fraction of time dealt with by two mortals, nourished with that zany but true encounter. They cared less of what went on with the world around them. She tried to look around but still was blinded. He did not mind at anything except that he was holding her. Nothing mattered much but their desire to be alone.

But they were not alone. They had the stars above, the full moon, the whole universe! They had the misty cold air around, the faint sound in the distance, the damp grass underneath their flesh. These elements were there but they simply did not care. Not a bit bothered. All they felt was love, endearment, the excitement, in captivity. Time allowed each act. Every second meant forever. This moment must not end… it should last.  For it is ‘the moment’ they knew LOVE. It was the moment they started living. They were not merely existing… they were living.

It was then when they both realized they were meant for each other.  Both were aware of being here in this world. Of caring for one another, of sharing each other’s joys and sorrows, of thinking and being thought of. Their love flourished and was nurtured with much joy and fulfillment.

It was her first, but surely not his. After, all what merits a man most if not her virginity.

Those were the days!

Sascsaanight_3 Nostalgia ate us up when our school celebrated its 90th year of existence in our community just three weeks ago. Saint Alphonsus Catholic School (S.A.C.S.) has been a great institution, a magnificent mentor over the years. It has always given us enormous reasons for inspiring great achivements in life. May we congratulate you dear S.A.C.S. for a fantastic job!

Right Love… Wrong person!

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

Betbrad How wrong could that person be? Is it really true that love is blind?

For me to love a person means :
1- giving it all
2-doing it righteously
3- share it contuinually
4-be with sometimes (of course you can’t take him while peeing)
5-talk openly
6-laugh with sometimes (if it isn’t corny ok)
…and the list goes on. But who’s counting?

LOVE, that nice and wonderful feeling!

But loving a person doesn’t mean you have to be blind, does it? In fact, you must be so ready with your feelings because doing it might put you in a bad situation later. But the risk makes it more intriguing.

Love, as the word implies, is putting trust on someone… someone you don’t even know that much all your life. But hey, no one knows for sure the other person, not until years go by with the relationship, who does?. Even twins argue once in a while, how much more with partners or lovers when they aren’t blood related! And that is part of the whole process. We learn as we change… and change is great and it is the only constant thing in this world.

I believe it is in the sharing with that person -correct or wrong-over the years, that you would know how to love eventually. And who can judge better who is right and not?

It is the care one gives, the respect offered, the friendship bestowed! I believe our beloved patner in life should be our best friend. It is the life-long togetherness which make the relationship flourish if not bloom to its fullest. It is putting your trust to that person which might help ease up the process of loving. Because loving is a struggle, a feat, a force so strong it drives one crazy, at times though. That is why it has to be felt for, sacrificed and lived for to its truest definition. But who can define what love really is…?

It is both the love and hate feelings that enables both parties to grow and learn and live. And that’s what matters (to live), because it is only in living that you can love and it is in loving that you continue to live!

Did you know that when you hate someone so much it is because you love that person too much! LOVE makes the world go around.. yes, definitely. It can also make your head turn around and get crazy!

Wish… (from a friend)

I wish for you…
Comfort on difficult days,
Smiles when sadness intrudes,
Rainbows to follow the clouds,
Laughter to kiss your lips,
Sunsets to warm your heart
Gentle hugs when spirits sag,
Friendships to brighten your being,

Beauty for your eyes to see,
Confidence for when you doubt,
Faith so that you can believe,
Courage to know yourself,
Patience to accept the truth,
And love to complete your life!

“That Cold -Moonlit-Night” (A true story)

Saturday, August 12th, 2006

Bet11 It was one summer night, when dusk was but softly creeping. The breeze was no longer warm but not too cold as to freeze one out. The moon started to eke out from its circle, slowly rising up… high to space, to merge with the evening clouds. It was on its fullest shape, its glaring brightness enough to cover the rest of the stars. The night was still young, and so was she…

Everyone was smiling, with their silvery white teeth exposed up to their ears, filled with that gladness inside their hearts. There was a celebration… It was Fiesta time! Some were dancing, others were eating, laughing, conversing. Most of the kids were around running, playing. Merriment clothed them all! It was almost the same as those ordinary parties, but something made it different. It was not the fiesta, nor the full moon. But it was ‘The night’ of all nights!

Indeed it was… Something very special happened on that particular full-moon nightfall.

After dinner, the music went so loud, it could be heard a mile away. She almost danced. Oh, she did! She felt the songs inside her, giggling and summoning her frail muscles, trying to persuade her to glide with the beat, to the rhythm. And so there she was! Sliding to and fro in the room, breaking one step at a time… she was doing the waltz… her passion.

Moments passed… Even hours. He then took her out for a walk. They went out of that fun-filled excitement. The music was not as loud as it was. Or maybe because they were far out that it would just fade away in the thin cold air. They were somewhere in an open field. The moon shone so bright, they could see each other’s eyes sparkling with content. They were in love!

       Or was it just lust?

Then he held her hand, tightly gripping, sending jerks of electricity through her veins from the fingertips   up to her heart. She felt love. It was love… It must be love, or what else could it be? She ignored the confusion. Why fuzz around with that thought when there is something weird but so good to be felt now?

She looked at him and smiled. A smile that could launch more than a million ships! Suddenly, he leaned over and kissed her! That kiss made the difference. It was that kiss which made that evening special.

Yes, it was love!

DO YOU LOVE SOMEONE THIS MUCH?

Tulips Girl: Slow down, I’m scared.

Guy: No, this is fun.

Girl: No it’s not. Please it’s too scary!

Guy: Then tell me you love me.

Girl: Fine I love you. Slow down!

Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.

Girl : *hugs him*

Guy: Can you take my helmet off and put it on yourself? It’s bugging me.

Girl: Alright, now slow down

Guy: I love you babe Girl: I love you too, please just slow down now! Please…

(in the paper the next day): A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only 1 had survived. The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn’t want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him and felt her hug one last time, then he had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

Girlboy3"…Through the door came familiar laughter;

I saw your face and heard you call my name;

Oh, my friend! we’re older but no wiser;

For in our hearts the dreams are still the same…"

Should I…?

I don’t think i’m ready to go back to the old me. I remember now, you once told me …" to change how i am, or what i am…". I did not. Perhaps, it’s now time that i should.
